ZY Qigong

2011 Board/Committee Nomination Form

Thank you for your consideration to join the ZY Qigong Board and/or a Committee of the Board.  We honor your interest in becoming an actively involved member of the ZY Qigong community!

The information provided in the Nomination Form will assist the current Board in selecting new Board members and committee members to serve our community.  We invite you to nominate yourself or others to serve on the Board.  We ask all nominees to complete the nomination form themselves in order to insure that all individuals are truly interested in joining the Board and clearly understand the commitment involved.  In addition, the nomination form serves as a resource for the current Board Members to get to know and evaluate the individual nominees and to see how they might fit the requirements of the Board for the upcoming term of office.

We are asking that a complete copy of this form be filled in and submitted via email by Friday, May 20, 2011.   Once the completed form has been received interviews will be scheduled.

We are currently working out the details for voting on the nominees.  Those will be made available in the upcoming weeks, and you will be notified.  In the meantime, if you have any questions at all, please contact Karen Fletcher, current ZYQ President at 206.713.5147 or Rose Allen, ZYQ Executive Director at 503.961.2242, or email info@zyqigong.org.

Please note:  we are also interested in creating strong Committee Membership chaired by Board Members, so if you don’t feel you can commit to the requirements of being on the Board, please consider participation on the following Committees:  (1) Budget & Planning, (2) Fundraising & Development, (3) Retreat, and (4) Information Technology.  Additionally, there may be volunteer opportunities that arise from time to time that do not involve Committee Membership.  Please let us know if you are interested in such opportunities.

Thank you very much!
