This is a fun family dance jam event called Our Dancing Village. It is for kids of ALL ages and starts with a shaking qigong warm-up and circle dances and moves on to ecstatic, free-form dance. Everyone is welcome. Dances are held the 2nd Sunday of each month.
Tuition: Adults - $8; 1 Adult + 1 Child - $10; Whole Family (3+) - $15 (No one is turned away).

This class combines a qigong warm up with outdoor movement (shaking, stretching, training with trees with the use of straps, staffs, stones and our own hands, feet, and body). Fundamental qigong exercise are practiced throughout. Join us for an invigorating and profound practice. Come practice with the Big Trees at Green Lake!

Meet Dr. Zhao - Free Lecture with Visiting Master Chinese Medicine Doctor/Herbalist

Monday July 27, 2009, 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm in the downstairs meeting room at the Fremont Library (731 N 35th St, Seattle WA 98103)

Learn about Dr. Zhao, his family lineage of doctors, practice in China, and expertise with the special "Dian xue" acupressure technique (also referred to as one of the Shaolin monk techniques), a technique no longer taught in schools or available in the current medical texts. Dr. Zhao has practiced over 40 years of traditional Chinese medicine, serving 20 to 40 clients a day, many of whom travel from all parts of China to see him. He was one of only 80 doctors in all of China who passed the highest level Chinese Medical Tui Na and Massage exam last fall. Grandmaster Mingtang invited him to join our annual retreat this June and stay in Seattle for July offering teaching and consultations. Come learn about Dr. Zhao with this open Q&A session about TCM and his practice. He will also share a tool bag of useful acupressure points you can use immediately on yourself, your friends and family.
