Jean Clough has been studying Qi Gong since 2000,
training with Grand Master Mingtang Xu and with Claire Johnson
of the ZY Qi Gong lineage. Concurrently, she is studying Taoist
Medicine, Tui Na and Qi Gong with Dr. Liu Dong of Ling Gui Qi
Gong School. A Level One ZY Qi Gong instructor since 2005,
Jean has developed and led several "Hiking Qi Gong" classes
combining Qi Gong practice with trail hiking in the forests
and mountains outside of Seattle. She owns and runs Seattle Advanced
Bodywork Associates, a twelve-person massage, acupuncture
and energy work clinic, where she has a busy massage practice
herself. Jean is also a Reiki Master and a Certified Wilderness
Leader through the Wilderness Education Association.
Jean says, "I am much inspired by the power and healing available through Qi Gong training. Gaining expertise with your own body's language is an amazing journey, but not magic. If we listen we can tune in to what is needed. I hope to be like a music appreciation teacher who helps students hear what was always there: the harmonies and discordance in our own bodies. With practice students bring body and mind into harmony, which is to say wellness, with self and the universe."
Peter Roth
has helped people informally with regard to health and
spirituality for much of his life. However, it was not until
2006 that he discovered the benefits of qigong and how it
resonated with his natural healing talents. He began an ongoing
training in ZY Qigong and started to learn more about Daoism, as
well. He steadily integrated what he learned into his life and
saw incredible changes, as a result.
In 2008, he began translating the Dao De Jing to immerse himself in the essence of Daoism. He also began an Image Therapy practice, joining the team at Seattle Advanced Bodywork Associates. In working with clients, he often suggests new practices to empower a client to achieve spiritual harmony, which is reflected on the physical, emotional and mental levels of a person's being. Arizona
Mark Frighetti was born in Tucson, Arizona. His dad was
in the Air Force so he has lived in many places, including
four years in Japan where he experienced the oriental culture.
He is a certified Shiatsu practitioner and is involved
with many types of natural healing. He has incorporated Qigong
into his treatments and is amazed at the results. People have
the power within themselves to heal what ails them, it is just a
matter of learning how. When Mark met Mingtang Xu at a five-day
retreat in Seattle, he decided he wanted to learn everything
he could from Mingtang. The vast amount of knowledge Mingtang Xu
has to offer his students will keep us busy for a long time.
Mark really enjoys teaching people ZY Qigong because it is simple, yet highly effective. ZY Qigong has helped him grow to be more aware of the energy that flows through everything.
Mark teaches ZY Qigong in Tucson Arizona. Please feel free to contact him at willow5@mindspring.com.

Petra Groschupf is a powerful qigong practitioner,

with the study of an old yoga system from Patanjali, India. From
there, she dove into shamanic healing, Kinesiology, EmoTrance,
crystal healing, and the ancient healing system of qigong.
In 2004, Petra met ZY Qigong Grandmaster Xu Mingtang and
in 2005 she was initiated as one of Mingtang’s private students.
In 2006 she became a certified ZY Qigong Level 1 teacher.
In the past 15 years, Petra has realized one of her biggest desires of being a painter. Her artwork naturally draws from all aspects of her life's personal, spiritual and vocational developments. The paintings are the visions Petra receives in her meditations. She says: "They emanate the brilliant flow of our vitality, our life energy, and can be used to strengthen any person or place's own vitality and flow. Simply hang a painting where you desire to strengthen this life force. My desire is for the great Harmony, Vitality and Peace illuminated in these paintings to flow into and emanate from our Souls."
Petra's paitings are available at Flowing Power (15% of all proceeds of the paintings will be donated to ZY Qigong non-profit). Email Petra at shop@flowingpower.com.
